A relaxed and welcoming meeting place for locals and visitors who enjoy good food, great company, and friendly country hospitality.
Mood: Laid-back, historic, friendly, and welcoming.
What I contributed to this project
Collaboration on branding and logo design, brand guidelines, social media images, business cards, mockups, custom patterns, and show reel animation and editing.
Target Audience
The Back Bar and Sports Bar attract regular daytime pub-goers who relish the opportunity to socialize over a cold beer while watching sports. The Lamppost Cafe & Bar draws in both locals and visitors, including nearby professionals seeking fresh lunch options and a caffeine fix, families and friends catching up over brunch. Live music and events also contribute to the venue's popularity.
For accommodation, the establishment caters perfectly to business travelers spending a night or two in town and couples or families exploring the Northern Rivers.
Creative Considerations
Immersed in its rich history, it was crucial to express the historic Victorian aesthetic of the building in the banding design. A key visual identifier for the hotel is the Mafeking Lamp—a memorial honoring soldiers of the Boer War located directly in front of the building.
The classic Victorian style with a modern twist is expressed in the typography, colours and visual embellishments embracing a regional 'country-style' charm. The color palette pays homage to heritage hues, incorporating vibrant Victorian greens and a pop of red brick.
